Our Story

The Story

Our staff is equally adept in arranging intimate candle-light dinners and other personal celebrations, catering to small parties to groups taking over part of or the whole restaurant (for company and promotional events, filming, and weddings).

The discovery of a new dish does more for the happiness of mankind than the discovery of a star.

Anthelme Brillat-Savarin

While dining at Cafe Lotus our guests can view Folklore Performances, taking place every night except Friday. Shows start at 7.30pm and last for about seventy minutes. In fairness to guests who make performances possible by purchasing tickets, those without tickets are asked not to go to the stage

Our Commitment

In designing our menu we have tried to strike a balance to suit our international clientele who would like to try Balinese and Indonesian recipes and those who – after lengthier stays in the islands – need flavours closer to home.

About 80 percent of our dishes are prepared á la minute with predominantly local ingredients. Daily delivery of meats, fresh fish, and seafood, and of course our volume (of business) guarantees freshness. Cafe Lotus serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with menus specific for the time of day
